The Raw Sole

Made from flexible hard leather with a raw, unfinished surface on both sole & heel just like 40's dance shoes.The finish feels like velvet and acts a lot like Chrome Leather (suede) - it allows you to spin and slide, but still control the floor.The Leather Heel has thick rubber layer - for extra shock absorption (see photo below).The sole is flexible to help you feel the floor.Designed by swing dancers for swing dancers.

We have been told that these are not only popular with swing dancers, but also with Shag, Salsa, Ballroom, Tango and Irish Step Dancers!

NOTE: If you find the sole has picked up dirt from the floor and is slowing down, just shuffle your feet on the sidewalk once or twice to refresh it.

These are designed for the intermediate / advanced swing dancer - but they're also great as a second pair for beginners...
- the "fastness" of the sole forces you to "find your center"
